<<	Pad Printing Forward-looking, fast and incredibly versatile Pad printing is an industrial, indirect gravure printing process, which will take more and more applications because of its flexibility. The many uses and benefits of pad printing based on the fundamental property of the pad, which consists of highly elastic silicone rubber and therefore is adapt to any surface. Thus, not only because of good ink transfer, almost all materials  could be printed of high quality. There still exists a large independence of shape and surface structure.  Whether convex or concave shapes, grooves or bumps: with pad printing the print motifs can  be well affixed. Another advantage is the fast drying of paint.   Here´s how: The color is drawn with the flood squeegee over the printing plates (steel or plastic plate), in that the image is etched. Excess ink is wiped off with the doctor blade from the cliché and it remains a colour coat in the etched cavity. Then the silicon pad takes the color from the recess and transmits it onto the product which has to be printed, which is fixed in a printing device and  is removed manually or by handling after the printing.
